Eunice F. Jones

Eunice F. Jones, 90, of Valley City passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018. Eunice was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 16, 1928 to the late Earl and Etta (nee Krueger) Gilson. She had resided in Medina and Parma prior to moving to Pennsylvania 1994 and returned back to Medina County in 2004. Her children remember her fondly sewing and baking. She loved to read, and work in her flower gardens. Eunice enjoyed making flower arrangements, coloring and especially loved being with her family. Eunice had a kind heart and great compassion for all animals. She would take in those lonely strays that came to her home. Eunice was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her children, Phyllis Suarez, of Barberton, Diana Wiese, of Brunswick, Debra Canterberry, of Valley City and April (Bob) Schneider of Valley City. Seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Jones, married 34 years and a daughter- Scherry Hanacek. Celebration of Life Service- 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. At Eunice's request, cremation will follow the service and burial will be at later date in Rest Acre Cemetery, Valley City. In lieu of flowers- The family suggests memorials may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve of Medina County or to the Alzheimer's Association.
