Dorothy A Angus

Dorothy A. Angus, 87, of Valley City, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, September 16, 2019.

Dorothy was born on December 8, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Lewis and Mary (nee Riba) Baechle. She resided in Columbia Station prior to moving to Valley City 32 years ago.

Dorothy was a true homemaker.  She loved baking, cooking and spending time with her family.

She devoted much of her time manicuring her yard. Dorothy dearly loved mowing her lawn.

She is survived by her children, Jane Angus, Nelson Angus (Maggie), Delight Culp and Nadene (Karl) Voss. Son-in-law, Jim Guthridge. Grandchildren, Dawn, Jim, Kevin (Amanda), Jennifer (Jeremy), David (Becca), George (Ashley) Allen (Kate), Kerry, Randy (Amber) and Tom.  Former grandchildren by marriage, Jen, Bruce, Danielle and great grandson, Alex. Several great grandchildren, and sisters, Rose and Marion, numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband James Angus, daughter, Terri Guthridge, son-in-law Don Culp, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Following Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life service for Dorothy and James Angus will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, 1800 Station Road, Valley City with burial following the Mass at St. Martin Church Cemetery.

The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City has the honor of serving the Angus family.
