Donna Clark Obituary

Donna Louise (nee Jenne, Janzen) Clark

Our mom was a fiercely, independent women. She believed, and there was no changing of her mind. This was true to the very end of her life as she struggled, then fell to the disease called Alzheimer’s on August 29, 2025.

Donna Clark was born to the late Harold and Bernice (Wuebker) Jenne on October 9, 1938 in Lodi, Ohio.  She was raised in Litchfield, Ohio with her brother Robert Jenne, sister Barb Smith and later her brother Terry Jenne.

Donna married Charles Janzen in 1957 and started her own family having Anita (Greg) Barnhart, Vickie (Daniel) O’Brien, James (Jim) Janzen, and many foster children. She moved to Virginia, then California. Upon moving back to Ohio, she divorced Charles and married Robert Clark, Sr. (deceased). Robert brought four children, Robert Clark, Jr., Connie (Jim) Osborne, Tracy (Ervin) Barnes, and Timothy Clark.

As her children grew, she worked at home, but also worked outside the home holding jobs at a variety of factories where she continued growing becoming union steward.  She fought for fellow employees. Donna also worked at Medina Hospital in material management and ended her working career at the Medina County Achievement Center as a school bus aid, caring for adults and children who were differently abled.

After leaving the workforce, she continued with her love of gardening, if you knew Donna, she demonstrated her love to you by giving you her garden produce.  She also donated her time to the Buckeye Busy Bees Garden club at Buckeye Elementary/Intermediate School, with her daughter, Anita.

She also loved baking.  She loved to give her baking to others in the form of Christmas cookies and her famously loved zucchini bread.  If you received either of these gifts, she loved you and that was her way of showing it.

Later in life, Donna struggled with the disease of Alzheimer’s. She was moved to the Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth, where the staff continued to care for her needs.  She continued to show her independent self, fighting to accept help.  Eventually, the kind and caring people of Northeast Ohio Hospice came to help Donna. They cared for her until the end of life.

Donna left her life with 18 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She also left, learning to care for staff members of St. Edward and Northeast Ohio Hospice.  They eventually became her family along with the continued care and love from her daughter Anita, who held her hand until her last breath left her body.
