Donald H. Mohler

Donald H. Mohler, 87, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023 surrounded by his family, following a bout with cancer. Don was born October 12, 1935 in Belden, Ohio to the late Rollin and Dora Bessie (Thomas) Mohler. He had resided in York Township for many years.  He was a proud U.S. Army veteran.

Don always valued a full day of work, whether it was being a farmer, crane operator, plumber or machinist. He instilled these values in his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Cavs, watching old western movies, reading, riding around with the neighboring farmers on their tractors, mowing the grass, making bowls on his lathe, and driving around Amish country looking for strawberries. He was a Master solitaire player.

His friends have always appreciated his joking sense of humor, his story telling abilities, his willingness to help out a friend or neighbor and his insistence on getting a good bargain.

Don was a devoted husband of 30 years to Norma J. (Masters-Chidsey), Character building father to- Margaret (Peggy) and Michael Russell, Michael and Jennifer Mohler, Kathleen (Katie) and Frank (deceased) Ricci, Jennifer Chidsey and Jake and Jennifer Chidsey, grandfather to Alisha and Jordan Provost, Erica, Jarrett and Alex Mohler, Molly, Sydney and Sam Russell, and Paul Chidsey and great grandfather to Olivia Rose Provost. Brother-in-law to Mary Mohler Perkins.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Mohler, his brothers and sisters,

June, Eva, Harvey, Aubrey and son-in-law- Frank.

Private Family Graveside service will be held at York Township Cemetery, Medina, Ohio.
