Dennis Lee Marvin

Dennis Lee Marvin, 71, of Valley City, Ohio passed away Friday, October 13, 2023.

Dennis was born June 11, 1952 in Medina, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Margaret (nee Orth) Marvin- Klinect, and was a life-long resident of Medina County.   Dennis was a graduate of Buckeye High School and Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in geology.  He worked was a chemist and in the IT division with PPG Industries for more than 35 years.

Dennis enjoyed working with his wife Patty on their farm raising, breeding, training and showing Morgan horses. He had a love for teaching the youth, sharing his knowledge of horses, old cars and geology.  He was an avid outdoorsman, hiking, UTV'ing  and traveling out west with his family and friends.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 36 years, Patty, daughter, Heidi (Ryan) Sweeney, grandchildren Reagan, Brody and Riley. Brother, David (Jean) Marvin and sister, Cheryl (Jim) Hedrick and multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation- 4:00-8:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH with the Funeral Mass- 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. Martin of Tours Chapel, 1800 Station Road Valley City. (Family and friends please meet at the church)

Burial- St. Martin Church Cemetery, Valley City.

In lieu of flowers:  Memorials may be made to charity of donor’s choice or St. Martin of Tours.
