David H. Greene

David H. Greene, 92, of Valley City, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 11, 1933, to the late Frank and Ruth (Neumeister) Greene. After graduating from Strongsville High School, Dave served his country in the U.S. Army for several years. Upon his discharge, he built a career as a commercial electrician with IBEW Local 38 before retiring in 1995.

In 1956, Dave married Mollie, the love of his life.  They shared 68 wonderful years together, building a family, never missed a single event for their children or grandchildren, and hosting countless summer gatherings for friends and family.  Always a prankster, he kept everyone around him laughing until the very end.

Dave spent as much time outdoors as he could—whether playing golf, fishing on the “Molly Dee” with friends, or keeping his yard pristine. He was an avid sports fan with a fierce loyalty to The Ohio State University football team and Duke basketball team, and nothing stood in the way of him watching a game.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mollie; and his parents.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Denise; sons, David (late Lucia) and Greg (Jessica); grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, Karli (Ryan Buck), Kristen (Gregory) Glatzhofer, Kyle, Abby, Adaline, and Jon Mayer; brothers, Lowell (Carol), Earl (Lois), and John (Bonnie); as well as many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A military service honoring his life will be held at a later date.
