Carroll F. Reusch, age 90, was born on April 12, 1932 to Claude C. and Blanche L. (Klooz) Reusch in Valley City, OH and passed away in Crossville, TN on May 1, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret (Koncz) Reusch, sons, Tom in Medina, Oh and Ron (Grace) in Macomb, MI, daughters, Linda in Findlay, OH and Patty (Brian) in Cape Coral, FL.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacqui (Scott) Tracy, Travis (Blaire), Jon (Hallie), Nick (Livia) Josh, Kyle, Zachary and great grandchildren, Jordan, Sophia and Truett.  He also survived by his brother Eugene.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Milford and sister-in-law’s, Peg and Judy.

Carroll graduated in 1950 from Liverpool High School, Valley City. He was in a class of 15. He went to work at General Motors Tank Plant in Brookpark, OH as a blueprint machine operator.  The Army called him to service in 1952, serving in Korea as a medic and received the Bronze Star and the Wharang Distinguished Military Service Medal from the Republic of Korea. Carroll came home in 1954 where he returned to work at General Motors as a photographer.  He also shot weddings for a photo studio.

He was a life member of the Valley City VFW Post 5563, serving as Past Commander and Medina County Council Commander.  He served as president of the Valley City Chamber of Commerce and also was on the Church Council for a number of years.

Carroll and Margaret were married on September 3, 1955 and had 66 wonderful years together and got to celebrate their 25th, 40th, 50th and 60th anniversaries with family and friends.

In 1974, the family moved to Troy, MI until 1992 when Carroll and Margaret retired to Fairfield Glade, TN. He was a member of the KWVA Chapter 297, Crossville, TN.  His goal was to be retired more years than he worked and he got very close to that goal only missing it by one year and two months.

Carroll loved his church, family and golf very much. He was a good provider and a very caring man with a wonderful sense of humor.  He will be missed very much!
