Carolyn Sue (Tallman) Cunningham

Carolyn Sue Cunningham, (nee Tallman), 79 of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully into her heavenly home on Friday, January 20, 2023.

Carolyn was born September 20, 1943 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to the late Billy and Zelma (nee Mills) Tallman. She grew up in LaGrange, Ohio and graduated from Keystone High School in 1961.  She married Phares Cunningham in August of 1962. They eventually moved their family to Medina in 1970.

Carolyn had worked at the DCM Corp. and Hy-Production, both in Valley City.

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Valley City. Carolyn’s joy was being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking and canning from the family garden.

Carolyn will be greatly missed by her children, William (Debbie) Cunningham, of Brunswick Hills, Sue Ann Cunningham of Columbus, Dawn Cunningham of Clayton, North Carolina and Amy (Marc) Lallier of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Elaine, Kyle, Heather and Megan; great grandchildren, Audrey, Brayden and Kylie.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Phares Cunningham in 2019.

Calling hours will be held 6-8 pm, Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH and 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Valley City, 6936 Center Road where the Funeral Service will be 12-Noon. The Reverend’s Doug and Mike Tallman will officiate.

 Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Garden, Brunswick, Ohio.
