Carol Lehman Smith, 77, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, January 24, 2022.
She was born in Ravenna, Ohio on May 30, 1944 to the late John Gustave and Martha Harriett (Read) Lehman. Before returning home to Ohio, she lived in Broomfield, CO for 39 years. She had also resided in Texas, Arizona, Florida and Maryland.
Carol was an avid political activist, in both local and national races. She was active in the mineralogical world for many decades, most notably at the annual Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, and the Denver Gen & Mineral Show. For many years she enjoyed raising orchids, and was a judge of orchid competitions at the national level. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Gregg Hayes; and her grandsons Kyle and wife Lexi (great granddaughter Jada Donohue), Ryan Hayes and Sean Hayes. She had four stepchildren: Susan Smith, Oregon; Kathy (John) Shuey, Oregon; Rebecca Smith, Oregon; and Zach (Debbie) Smith, Maryland. She is also survived by one brother, Jack Lehman, of Austin, Texas.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband William Roger Smith (2012) and a brother, Donald Lehman; and a sister Barbara Stokes.
Per Carol’s wishes, there will be no services.
