Carl "Bill" A. Payne

Carl Alvin Payne, Sr. 74, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

Carl "Bill" was born on June 16, 1951 in Fayetterville, West Virginia.  He spent much of his life working as a pipe layer, he worked hard to support his family. He lived a simple life and was loved by those who knew him. Carl loved old cowboy shows, horses, Harley-Davidsons, guns, and guitars. 
He was also very proud of his collection of elephants and going to the flea market.

He is survived by his wife, Leah ( nee Hall); his children; Carolyn Payne, Melinda Payne, Carl Payne, Jr. and William Payne (wife Carrie), and Marrissa Deeter. He was a proud grandfather to Savannah, Austin, Kayla, Cole, Hailie, Rease, Trentin, Stella, Danny, Leah and Caitlyn.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Juanita Payne; and his brothers, Paul, Allen and Jackie.

His family finds comfort knowing he is now at peace.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Friday, May 29, 2026 from 12-Noo until 2:00 pm at the Bauer Funeral Home. 2089 Columbia Road  Valley City, OH.
