Brian C. Walter

Brian C. Walter 53, of West Salem, Ohio passed away at Southwest General Hospital on June 6, 2024.Brian was born January 3, 1971 in Medina, Ohio to S. Charles Walter and Loretta (Swartz) Walter.  He grew up in Valley City and Medina, Ohio. Brian attended Buckeye Schools. He lived   his last 11 years in West Salem, Ohio.  He was a truck driver for many years and worked at Alloy Engineering for over 18 years.

Brian was a one of a kind, once you met him, you would never forget him. He was an in your face, honest, gruff exterior, kind and hardworking man.  He was a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan.  He loved to watch the game with his friends and have a few, or more, beers.  He enjoyed many things: gardening, grilling and smoking food, flea markets and sales.  Brian loved his Harley Davidsons, John Deere tractors, and Busch light beer. He was active in TNR work and helped humans and animals of all kinds.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Elsie Gordon, married 23 years.

Stefanie Walter, Sara (Michael) Floreth and little sister Baby Rachel (Michael) Lewis. His “Brothers by another mother” Alan Harowski and James Kiousis. Niece and nephews, Emily, Michaela, Aric (Bethany), Patrick (FL: Anna Petek) Ubienski, Taylor Lewis, Charles, Michael, Peter and Clare Floreth, Kaylee and Mason Roberson. Special Uncle to many.

Following Brian’s request, cremation has taken place. There will not be services at this time. He was not a casket or flowers kind of guy, so there will be a Ride and Celebration of Life on August 31, 2024. Updated Details: The ride will start to gather at The Grindstone in Berea at Noon on August 31, 2024.  The ride includes ALL VEHICLES.  The Celebration  will be at Drake Park in West Salem, Ohio. Anyone not going on the ride can start to gather at 2 pm.  Elise asks that anyone going to be there at 4 pm;  More information call Elsie at (330) 635-8019.
