Brenda Jean (Schaefer) Goodwin

Brenda J. Goodwin, 69, of Medina, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

Brenda was born in Medina, Ohio, November 6, 1956 to the late Herbert and Marjoe (McLaughlin) Schaefer. She was a 1975 graduate of Buckeye High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball and softball.

Brenda had worked for United Parcel Service for 10 years and lastly was a Tae Kwon Do instructor in Medina County. She was an active member of the Harley Hog Group, in Medina,  loved riding her motorcycle and gardening.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Donald, married 39 years, children Tim Goodwin, Molly (David) Sada, Ben (Ashley) Goodwin and Jeff (Amanda) Goodwin. Five grandchildren, Bella, Isaiah, Parker, Sarah and Charlie.  Her siblings, Sandy (Tom) Amersbach, Cindy (Jack) Lane, Christine Carver (deceased), Lisa Lindauer (Michael deceased), Kim (Jeff) Horwedel, Terri Schaefer, Larry Schaefer (deceased), Rick Schaefer and Greg Schaefer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Following Brenda’s request, cremation has taken place.

The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City had the honor of serving Brenda’s family.
