Betty Jean (Frambach) Ferrier

Betty J. Ferrier, 90, of Polk, Ohio went to her eternal home on Tuesday, November 2, 2022.

Betty was born in Medina, Ohio on October 22, 1932 to the late Carl and Vera (Becky) nee Kasper Frambach. She grew up in York Township on the family farm, married John Ferrier in 1957 and moved to Valley City. In 1975, they moved to Ashland County.

Betty worked and retired after 30 years from Samaritan Hospital in Ashland. She is best known for owning and operating Ferrier’s Bulk Foods shop from 1979 until 2019.

She enjoyed making candy and took great pride in her grandchildren.

Survived by her daughters, Nancy Carr, of Chippewa Lake and Julie (Stephen) Bennett, of Medina. Grandchildren: David Carr, of Ashland, Gabriel and Nathanael Bennett; great grandchildren- Mikehlah and McGuire Carr.  She is also survived by a sisters-in-law, Carol Frambach and Annie Sabo.

Calling hours will be 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, where Funeral Service will 11:00 AM, Monday with Rev. Randy K’Meyer, officiating.

Interment to follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Valley City.
