Barbara J. (Mac Laren) Fousek

Barbara J. Fousek, 75, of Valley City passed away peacefully in her soulmate’s arms, of Friday, October 1, 2021.

Barbara was born on August 13, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late  Albert and Lillius (Turner) MacLaren. She married her husband Eric and traveled with him throughout his military duties and lastly settling in Valley City for over 40 years ago.

She had worked at Sears Credit Central in Middleburg Hts., retiring as a Division Manager after 25 years, then lastly was a stockbroker with the former First Merit Banks in Lorain County. Barbara had recently received her Eastern Star 40th year membership pin, from the Medina Chapter.

Barbara and her husband enjoyed touring wineries and travelling to various countries and states.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years, Eric. Also, a brother Robert Mac Laren, a sister Elizabeth Chandler, one niece and two nephews.

There will calling hours from 2:00-4:00 PM, Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, with a funeral service at 4:00PM.

Inurnment will be held 11:30 AM, Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio. Friends and family are invited to meet at the front entrance of the cemetery at 11:15 AM.
