Barbara C. (Dingess) Dean

Barbara C. Dean, 81, of Litchfield, Ohio passed into her heavenly home Thursday, October 24, 2024.

Barb was born May 29, 1943 in Big Creek, West Virginia to the late Allen and Esther (Wilson) Dingess. She moved to Ohio in 1964 and has resided in Litchfield for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in Florida and North Carolina.

Barb was a true homemaker and had instilled the strong faith she had onto her children and grandchildren who were the joy of her life.

She loved taking her grandchildren for rides on her four- wheeler and she was an adventurous jet skier.

 Barb took pleasure in shopping for great bargains with her husband and she adored her four -legged companions. She enjoyed spending time out in her gardens and seeing the beautiful rewards of her labors in bloom. Her greatest labor of love was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching them grow up into their own precious beings.

Barb will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Jimmie Dean, married 60 years, her cherished sons, James “Greg” (Sandy) Dean and Kevin (Jennifer) Dean, special grandchildren Brittany, Kaitlin, Ray and Travis Dean.  Adored great grandchildren, Brantley, Colton and Nolan Dean.  Barb is survived by dear siblings, Davey Dingess, Ronnie Dingess, Maxine Corey, Lois Plowman and Maida Seaman and also many special nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by Opie, Charles, Kenny and Dewey Dingess and Elvia Artist.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation to be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, Ohio.
