Anna May (Arnold) Datta

Anna May Datta 87, of North Olmsted, Ohio passed away on July 26, 2024 and was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Tapan Datta, MD.

Anna was born April 17, 1937 in Seville, Ohio to the late Clarence and Iva (Conrad) Arnold.  She grew up in Valley City and graduated from Buckeye High School in 1955. Later moved to New Jersey for ten years where she graduated in 1961 from Christ Hospital School of Nursing and met her husband, Tapan, a physician from India. Anna married Tapan Datta in 1965. They traveled to many countries and lived 30 years in Pittsburgh, PA before moving back to Ohio.

Anna was a Born Again Christian and lived her life to the glory of God.  She enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening.

Loving mother of David Datta (Colleen, deceased) and Arun Datta; devoted grandmother of Alexandra Willis (Nicholas), Bristi Ryan (Andrew), David Ian and Arden; devoted great grandmother to Norah, Avery and a great grandson arriving soon.

Sister of Alice Cottrell (Harold deceased), Sylvia Ward (Larry), Ralph Arnold (Kathy) and the late Robert, Edelbert, Charles, Betty, Mary Caronite, Samuel and John; beloved aunt, great aunt and dear friend of many.

Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, Ohio with the funeral service at 1:00 pm.  Burial to follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Valley City.
