Alvin “Tim” Nelson, 61, of Brunswick, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 27, 2020.
Tim was born August 11, 1958 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Clyde and Wanda Nelson. Uncle Tim, as he was known, resided in Brunswick for over 30 years. He had worked as a machine operator at Shiloh Industries. He had a deep love for the game of softball and was an avid player. The weekends were for football. From Friday night lights, Buckeyes and Browns. He loved his Minnesota Vikings. He adored his nieces and nephews and followed their athletics accomplishments in school and achievements throughout their lives.
Time was one of a kind, an old soul. He was all around a great guy. He provided comic relief to everyone that surrounded him. Being selfless came naturally. His dedication and devotion to his family was unmeasurable.
He is survived by his sister, Lois Johnson, brother, Terry (Brenda) Nelson; Niece, Sherry Weber (Ken Lindsey); children, Jacob and Sarah Weber, Nephews, Tony (Megan) Johnson, Kyle and Jeremy Nelson, Clyde Nelson III and Ronnie Nelson and many great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde II (CV) Nelson, Ronnie Nelson and brother-in-law, Donald Johnson and his best friend of more than 40 years, Jim King.
At Uncle Tim’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Sunday, May 31, 2020 in an open house forum. The family will accept guests at the Nelson residence beginning at 2 pm
