Stanley R. Barth

Stanley R. Barth, 94, of Litchfield, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

Stanley was born in Litchfield on January 6, 1925 to the late Alvin C. and M. Louverne (nee Frombaugh) Barth.  He has been a lifelong resident of Litchfield living on and working the family farm for many years.

He was a member of Litchfield United Church of Christ, Congregational Church.

Stanley was an agriculturist who loved raising animals and farming the land. He devoted his life to his family, farm and his community.

He served as Litchfield Township Trustee for 28 years, served on the Medina County Farm Service Agency, served on the board of Medina Landmark, and the Lorain-Medina Rural Electric Co-op. He was a member of the Medina County Farm Bureau.

Stanley and his late wife Marjorie enjoyed square dancing and a good polka.

 He will be greatly missed by his children, Charles A. Barth (Merrill) of Ill., Kenneth W. (Anne) Barth of Litchfield and Janet K. Barth of Wadsworth.  Grandchildren, Curtis, Kyle, Kevin and Kimberly Barth,

Emily (Tony) Izzo, Rachel (Chris) Hallock and Steven (Bobbie) Barth and great grandchildren, Logan, Evelyn, Kamden, Kasen Barth, Gabriella, Giulana and Michael Izzo, Ben and Daniel Hallock, Aurora and Corban Barth.

Brother-in-law, Fred Anklam and sister-in-law, Lois Burns.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 58 years, Marjorie passed away in 2007, and his brother, Howard Barth.

Funeral Service Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Litchfield United Church of Christ, Congregational     Avon Lake Road Litchfield, where friends my call 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.

Burial to follow at Litchfield Cemetery.
