Gloria L. Natterer

Gloria L. Natterer, 98, of Medina, Ohio went home to be with The Good Lord as family stood by her side on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.

Gloria was born on July 19, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Durwood and Goldie (nee Peterson) Fligle. She had resided in Olmsted Falls for many years before moving Drummond Island in Upper Peninsula, Michigan in 1977 to 2001 then she returned to Ohio. Gloria was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Berea and is presently a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Valley City.

Gloria graduated from nursing school in 1942 and worked as a registered nurse until 1977 when she retired from Berea Hospital/ Southwest General, Middleburg Hts.

She enjoyed socializing with her Lady friends, gardening and tending to her flowers. She had a love for loons.

Gloria is survived by her daughters- Peggy Natterer and Marsha Basch, and daughter-in-law Barbara Natterer. Nine (9) grandchildren, nineteen (19) great grandchildren and three (3) great great grandchildren. And her sister Anne Ehrnfelt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Natterer, a son, Richard J. Natterer, a great grandson, Joshua Hazlett and sister Roberta Natterer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 6656 Center Road, Valley City.

The Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City is handling the arrangements.
