Joseph G. Tenney

November 23, 1918 - June 16, 2009

Joseph G. Tenney, age 90, of Litchfield, Ohio formerly of Missouri passed away June 16, 2009 in Medina, Ohio.

He was born November 23, 1918 in Sand Run, W.VA. to Opah and Minnie Tenney. Joseph grew up in West Virginia, moved to Elyria, OH than to Calif. 1963 where he raised his family, traveled to Missouri in 2002 and residing in Litchfield a short time.

Joseph was a retired millwright with General Motors in Southgate, Calif. He was a World War II army veteran. Joseph enjoyed raising horses, riding motorcycles and most of all loved playing the card game Hands and Feet with his daughter and granddaughters. He got great pleasure out of beating the girls in the card game.

Survived by his children- Judith Wallace, of Litchfield, Oh and Thomas (Beverly) Tenney, of Wakeman, OH. Grandchildren- Michele, Steve and Richard Wallace, Theresa Nielson, Tami Adam, Renee and Nathan Tenney. Great grandchildren- Kristin, Joseph, Michael, Brandy, Zachery, Trisha, Kaylee, Madison, Sarah, Whitney, Mariah, Brianna, Taylor, Amber, Paul, Kara, Joshua, Chelsie-Ann, Michael and Shana. Great Great grandchildren- Alexis, Zachary and Leila

Sisters- Mary Bailey and Gennis Dawson; Brother- James Tenney

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife- Dorothy, 1997, great granddaughter- Ashley; great great grandson- Lil John; sisters- Ada Hornbeck, Dove Dawson, Ruth Blake and brothers- Paul, Jake and Sherd Tenney

Funeral Service- 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH, friends may call one hour prior to the funeral.

Burial: Forest Lawn Cemetery, Long Beach, Calif.
