Irene D. Baker (nee Holden), 85, formerly of Lodi, Ohio went to her heavenly home on June 10, 2009.
She was born in Marietta, Ohio on July 8, 1923 to Charles and Katherine Holden. Irene had resided in Medina County for 65 years prior to moving to Wooster several years ago. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, in West Salem, OH. Irene had been a sheet metal worker with the former Henry Furnace Co., Medina for 41 years. She enjoyed baking and gardening. Irene loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own children. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
She was a wonderful aunt to numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband- Robert Baker; brothers and sisters- Charles, Ambrose, Gilbert, Harold Holden; Rosemary; Elosie; Helen; Pauline; Mary; Rita and Edna
Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church 44 Britton St. West Salem, OH 44287 Rev. Carl Uhler, officiating.
Burial: Zion Lutheran Church, Valley City, Ohio
Calling hours- Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH and one hour prior to the funeral Saturday at the church.
Memorials suggested if desired may be made to the church.
