Lois A. Schell

May 19, 1933 - May 3, 2009

Lois A. Schell, age 75, of Medina, OH passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009. She was born May 19, 1933 in Erie, PA to Charles and Anne Smith. Lois resided in Cuyahoga County for many years prior to moving to Medina County. She had been a receptionist at Metro Health Medical Center for 20 years and lastly served a part time telephone operator at the Medina County Administration Building, retiring, Jan. 2009. Lois was a remarkable individual, combining humanitarian concern and commitment with selfless imitative to become a leader in the community. She was an inspiration to all who have enjoyed the privilege of knowing her. Lois was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed, especially her smile.

Survived by her children- Deborah J. Witsaman, of Medina, OH; Sonny (Donnie) Schell (Tracy), of Broadview Hts., OH and David F. Schell (Linda) of Brunswick, OH. Grandchildren- David M. Schell; Staff Sgt. Rob Witsaman’ Meghan L. Schell and Nate Witsaman. Great grandson- Jacob. Many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters and 2 brothers

Funeral Mass- Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours 1800 Station Road Valley City, OH Rev. Thomas Dunphy, officiating.

Burial- St. Martin Church Cemetery, Valley City, OH

Calling hours- Weds. 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH

Memorials suggested if desired to St. Martin Church Building Fund.
