Conley L. Stout, age 85, of Litchfield, Ohio went to his heavenly home on Friday, March 27, 2009.
He was born July 21, 1923 in Grassy Creek, North Carolina. Conley lived in Cleveland for many years prior to moving to Medina County 20 years ago. He was a lathe operator at LTV Steel, Cleveland for 35 years. Conley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valley City. He loved and faithfully attended activities of his church. Conley enjoyed attending Blue Grass music concerts and riding the motorcycle with his wife.
Survived by his wife of 10 years, Linda Lapp-Stout; children Connie (Jim) Kelly of Washington State; John, Matt and Mark Stout, all of Cleveland, OH and Diane Stout of TN. Step children- Diana (Woody) Lapp-Smith of Strongsville, OH; Robin (Mike) Zuba, of PA and David (Mary Beth) Lapp; of VA (David is serving his 21 th year in the Air Force).
Grandchildren- Michelle, Donnie, Jr., Anita, Marissa, Erron, Margaret, Matt, Jr. and Michael. Step-Grandchildren- Andrew, Michael, Kaleigh and Katelyn. Numerous great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son- Donnie Stout; 7 brothers and sisters.
Celebration of Life Service- Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH Rev. Richard Steele, officiating.
Friends may call Thursday 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
At Conley’s request, cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in his home town of Grassy Creek, North Carolina.
