Eleanor F. Bowles

August 23, 1914 - January 7, 2010

Eleanor F. Bowles, age 95, of Erhart, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, January 7, 2010. She was born August 23, 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edward and Louise Neumann. Eleanor has resided in Medina County for many years. She was a charter member of the Erhart Fire Department Auxiliary. Eleanor was a member of the Oehlhoff United Methodist Church, Cleveland. She was a member and past matron of the Forest City Chapter of Ohio Eastern Star #374, Cleveland, OH and the Lakewood Shrine. Eleanor had been employed by the Cleveland Public Library at Rawlings Jr. High School, Cleveland and for several years she was an assistant to the librarian at the Cleveland Masonic Library. Eleanor shared her love and caring ways with many friends, family members and especially her dear friends at Willowood Care Center in Brunswick.

Survived by her children- Norman David (Loudevene) Bowles, of Wartburg, TN; Louise (Gregory) Lobotsky, of Erhart, OH. Grandchildren- Sarah L. (Bruce) MacMillan, of Cleveland, OH and Grace E. Lobotsky (Kenneth Edwards) of Medina, OH

Preceded in death by her beloved husband- George Bowles.

Funeral Service: Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH with Patty Silva, officiating.

Burial- Greenhoe Cemetery, Erhart, OH

Calling hours- Sunday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eleanor’s family would like to express a special “Thank you” and appreciation to the Willowood Care Center; Odyssey Hospice; York Methodist Church and the staff of Medina Hospital for all the prayers and support shared throughout these final days of our mother and grandmother’s life.
