Ruby M. Sherman

Ruby M. Sherman, age 95, of Brunswick, Ohio went to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 17, 2009.

She was born on May 21, 1914 in Olmsted Township, OH. Ruby has been a resident of Medina County since 1935. She was an employee of Hirt’s Greenhouse, Strongsville for 10 years. She also was a partner in the original Mapleside Florist. She was a member of the former Beebetown Baptist Church and has recently attended the First Baptist Church of Brunswick. Ruby enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking, baking and gardening.

Survived by her daughters- Gail Genin, of Isanti, MN and Sharon (James) Haynes, of Hinckley, OH. Grandchildren- Cynthia (John) Grove and Jennifer Graydon (Chris Juhasz), both of VA; Jill Evans, of Cleveland, OH and David (Susan) Charpentier, of Mason, OH. 8 great grandchildren. Sister- Margaret Lyndes, of N. Ridgeville, OH. Many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband- Orrin (Rip), 1997; brother- Gordon Wagner, 2005 and sisters- Eleanor Hollis, 2005 and Doris Ward, 2007. Son-in-law: Robert Genin . Funeral service: Monday, 2:30 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH Rev. Dennis Martin, officiating.

Burial- Beebetown Cemetery, Valley City, OH

Calling hours- Monday 12:30- till the hour of service 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
