David W. Weiss, Sr.

October 23, 1941 - November 11, 2009

David W. Weiss, Sr. 68, of Valley City, Ohio passed away Weds. November 11, 2009 at Medina General Hospital.

He was born October 23, 1941 in Farrell, PA to Fredrick W. and Margaret Weiss. David grew up in Detroit, MI, moved to Lima, Strongsville and lastly to Valley City in 1998. He was retired from Ford Motor Co., where he had worked in the management department for 34 years. David was a U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed golfing and camping.

Survived by his wife- Kathleen, they were married 48 years. Children- David Jr. & Judith Dawson-Weiss, of Amherst, OH; Dianne (Greg) Dunlap, of Cleveland, OH; Deborah (Kenny) Monger, of Powatan, VA and Denise Tabron, of VA 11 grandchildren.

3 Sisters- Rosemary Marcil, of Ohio; Barbara Rotkowski and Gloria Weiss both of MI.

Preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers- Richard and Fred and 1 sister- Shirley.

Funeral Service- Sat. 3:00 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH Pastor Jerold Roth, officiating.

Calling hours- 1:00- 3:00 p.m. Sat. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials suggested if desired- American Heart Association.
