George A. Steppenbacker, age 53, Lodi, OH went to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 11, 2009.
He was born March 16, 1956 in Medina, OH to Andrew and Charlotte Steppenbacker. George has been a lifelong resident of Medina County. He had worked for Marks Construction doing excavating work, but most recently worked as a superintendent for Hickory Nut Golf Course, Columbia Station, OH. When his children where in school he helped coach baseball. George loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Survived by his wife- Brenda (nee Kucharski), married 31 years; children- Ted (Leigh Ann Stratman), of West Salem, OH and Tiffany Steppenbacker, of Euclid, OH Brothers- David (Dolores), of Brunswick, OH; Ron (Michelle) and Danny (Linda) both of Medina, OH; Andy (Kathy) of Chatham, OH and Charles Glass, of Coshocton, OH and sister- Juanita (Chuck) Hargis, of Creston, OH Sister-in-law: Jane Kucharski, of Medina,OH numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents.
At George’s request there will be NO calling hours.
Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Sat. 10/17/09 at the First Christian
Church Disciples of Christ 3611 Center Road Brunswick, OH Rev. Maureen Webber, officiating.
