Edna E. Bauer

Edna E. Bauer, 94, Valley City, OH went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 9, 2009.

She was born October 24, 1914 in Grafton Township, Ohio to Carl and Elisa Law. Edna has lived most of her life in Valley City. She had worked at the former Better Dress Shop, Medina and she retired as a seamstress at the former Fisher Big Wheel, Brunswick after many years of service. Edna was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Valley City, OH. She helped many years in the concession stand of the former Abbeyville Ballpark. Edna loved working in her flower beds, doing crafts and especially sewing.

Survived by her son- John C. (Jean), of Valley City, OH; grandson- John T. (Bonnie), of Valley City, OH; great grandson- John J. (Deb) of Valley City, OH, great great grandchildren- Travis and Danielle; 3 great great great grandchildren. Niece- Marsha (Jim) Taddeo, of Amherst, OH and 2 great nephews- Jim and Jeff Taddeo

Preceded in death by her parents, husband- John W. Bauer and a sister and brother-in-law Esther and Clarence Flew

Funeral Service- Monday noon at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH Rev. Gene Kraus, officiating.

Calling hours- One hour prior to the funeral on Monday. 11:00- Noon at the funeral home

Burial- Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Valley City, OH

In lieu of flowers- memorials may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Valley City, OH or Heartland Hospice.
