Paul F. Baker

August 17, 1917 - August 9, 2009

Paul F. Baker, age 91, of York Township, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009.

He was born in Medina, Ohio on August 17, 1917 to Willis and Marie Baker. Paul has been a lifelong resident of Medina County. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Valley City and the Martin Luther Society. Paul was a charter member of the Abbeyville Softball team playing first base and outfield. He had been a dairy farmer for 40 years and continued grain farming to the present. Paul enjoyed woodworking and repairing used farm equipment to like new condition He loved working with his tractors, tilling the soil in the spring and harvesting in the fall. He and his wife have a roadside vegetable and flower stand. Paul especially loved visiting with the customers and sitting on his swing enjoying the outdoors.

Survived by his wife, Arlene, married 60 years- son- Gary (Patricia), of Akron, OH and daughter- Karen, of Seville, OH. Brothers-in-laws: Willis Brenstuhl, Parma, OH and Clyde Brensthul, of Medina, OH. Many nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by his parents and sister- Lucille Wolf

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church 2233 Abbeyville Road Valley City, OH Rev. Michael Koch, officiating.

Burial- Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Valley City, OH

Calling hours- Weds. 5-8 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH

Memorials suggested if desired to the Zion Church Building Fund.
