John F. Vasel, age 59, of Medina, Ohio went to be with the Lord. Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at his home.
He was born January 7, 1950 in Medina, Ohio to Lad and Lucille Vasel. John has been a lifelong resident of Medina County. He retired from Valspar in 2006.
He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Gale (nee Richmond) sons- Johnny R., of Medina, OH and Michael E. wife -Melaina (nee Miller), of Sullivan, OH and Grandson- Cooper Michael. His mother- Lucille Vasel, of Valley City,OH; sister- Jean (Jim) Blankenship, of Valley City, OH; Brothers- Jim (Peggy); Joe (Jan); Richard (Christine) all of Valley City, OH; Dale (Denise), of Grafton, OH; Tom (Debbie) of Litchfield, OH and Dave (Debbie) of Ashland, OH many nieces and nephews. Mother & father in-law: Dilmer and Christine Richmond, of Lexington, KY and brother in-law: Jessie (Tayna) Richmond, of Lexington, KY
Preceded in death by his father- Lad J. Vasel, 1981.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at St. Martin of Tours 1800 Station Road Valley City, OH Rev. Thomas Dunphy, officiating.
Calling hours- Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Bauer Funeral Home 2089 Columbia Road Valley City, OH
